How To Change Drawing Template In Solidworks

How To Change Drawing Template In Solidworks - Hi again sw people, i got ( not many ) 20 drawing templates but when i need to change the default one ( system option > default templates ), nothing happens. I'm looking for a macro to batch change drawing sheet formats/template simlar to propagator. I then open an old drawing and go to property and try to change the template to the new one. As with many other people, i would like to change my drawing template for around 150 existing drawings. I have selected template x and created all views and dimensions. Hi all, i'm migrating files to a new pdm and would like to update all the drawing formats to new templates at a network drive level. Hoping someone has created a macro that does this that they'd like to share.

It seems that a macro would be ideal, i've tried a few from these pages but they don't work for me ('change_sheet_format.swp' does formats, not templates. Real people, real experiences, real knowledge. My template folder in system option > file location > templates is also correct. Is there any need to clean some kind of cache or anything else to get this change working. Is there any option to change template alone? Hi all, i'm migrating files to a new pdm and would like to update all the drawing formats to new templates at a network drive level. I perfer not to pay either.

Just consider we are having two different drawing templates x & y. I have 1500 drawings i need updated so the free version of propagator won't be effecient (it only does 4 at a time). After that if i want to change the template alone to y. As with many other people, i would like to change my drawing template for around 150 existing drawings. I created a new template with all the settings i want and i then save the template to a new sheet format.
